Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays-in addition to Ramadan & Eid of Course! I think it has something to do with all yummy food served during these holidays!
Even though its origins may be a little suspect, the idea behind this holiday- being grateful- having shukr- for everything that we've been blessed with, is a great sentiment.
It's another way to remember and thank Allah SWT for all that we have, and be grateful for what we have.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Look at those who are lower than you and do not look at those who are higher than you, lest you belittle the favors Allah conferred upon you.”
